“Our Labor Council here in Westmoreland County is proud to have such a fine slate of Labor Friendly candidates to support. Our delegates and affiliates are ready to work to help them all get elected,” commended Walter Geiger, President of the Greater Westmoreland County Labor Council.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Greater Westmoreland County Labor Council as well as the larger AFL-CIO,” said Bibiana Boerio. “My father would be proud. He was a member of a local union in Westmoreland County, so I have understood the values of labor from a young age. I believe unions are critical to making our communities strong, and I am committed to supporting these values in Washington, D.C., on behalf of our community members.”
Bibiana Boerio is the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District, which is comprised of Westmoreland, Fayette, Greene and Washington Counties. A native of Latrobe, PA, she is running for Congress because she believes the people of Southwestern PA want government to work for them. She is committed to enabling job creation, fighting for Social Security and Medicare, and strengthening educational opportunities for all, understanding that this is what will improve the local quality of life and enable communities to succeed.
